Jonathan Mogotsi will make a welcome return to the SA simGT Series, he will replace Jason Absmeier for Round 3 at Brands Hatch on 04 April 2016, this comes after Absmeier confirmed he will be missing the next round due to a prior commitment.
Mogotsi, a 2013 GT Academy Finalist, briefly competed in the 2015.2 SA simGT season to include a win, during the second race of the season, with the now defunct Raging Bull Motorsports team, and now relishes this opportunity with Revlimit Racing.
“It was unfortunate that I had to refocus my commitments elsewhere but I tell you what, it sure feels great to be back in the hot seat again! In the space of a year I’ve seen this community grow and the talent keeps getting better. And the introduction of the ballast brings the field even closer. I. Am. Excited.”
“My goal for these sprint races is to have a blast. Finishing position means nothing to me, all I’d like to have constant battles and to be fighting for position. Brands hatch is one of my favorite circuits, the R8, not so much but we’re a work in progress.” says Mogotsi
Mogotsi’s recent form in the SA simHTC Series, where he currently holds second position in the highly competitive drivers’ championship, suggests he will be fighting at the front and may upset the current pecking order.
Round 3 of the 2016 SA simGT Series will be available for viewing on Sim Race South Africa’s Youtube channel from Friday 08 April 2016 , subscribe here.
