Introduction to the SA simEC Series

SA simEC Series

The South African Simulation Endurance Championship (SA simEC Series), is a entirely new concept to Sim Race South Africa and its first season will start on 15 February 2016. The championship is inspired by, influenced by, and modeled partly on the real world WEC, IMSA Sportscar and Hankook 24hr championships.

The SA simEC Series joins the already established and successful SA simGT Series as the second National Championship. The championship will consist of a prototype class (P2) and a GT Class (GTD) making it the first championship, hosted by Sim Race South Africa, to have significantly different cars on track together.

The 2016 SA simEC series will span 10 months, with mostly one race per month from 22 February 2016 to 12 December 2016.

Drivers will be required to be up to date with their Sim Race South Africa EC or EC Team membership fees after they have applied for the championship (SEE HERE).

If you would like to express your interest in joining the championship, please put your name down in this thread. (SEE HERE)

The 2016 season will make use of Project Cars (PC Only) as its base platform.
