SimTech Simulator Equipment becomes prize sponsor for 2018.1 SA simGT Series

SimTech Simulator Equipment has partnered with Sim Race South Africa to become a prize sponsor for the highly competitive online simulation racing championship, the SA simGT Series. The Port Elizabeth based startup specialises in handmade high quality button boxes built to customer specifications.

With more than 50 entries, the SA simGT Series is South Africa’s most well attended, and most competitive, online sim racing competition in the country.

“It is fantastic to see the hard work that Sim Race South Africa puts into promoting sim racing in South Africa. The events are well organised. The racing is extremely competitive. The talent, and skill, on display by the competitors is truly awe inspiring, and it is all put together in a well presented live stream every week, that anyone can watch. We want to be a part of it by supporting Sim Race South Africa in anyway we can. We will present the 2018.1 SA simGT Series Drivers’ Champion with one of our flagship SimTech X3 button boxes” said SimTech’s Shaun Loureiro

Sim Race South Africa’s founder, and eSport Co-ordinator, added; “We welcome SimTech’s support and partnership, and we are thrilled that such a great prize will be given to this season’s SA simGT champion. We want Sim Race South Africa to act as a catalyst for the development of competitive sim racing into a major eSport in South Africa.  Whoever wins the prize will thoroughly deserve it! Have you seen how close those qualifying times have been? We are talking tens of thousands of a second between the drivers.”

The SimTech X3 Button Box features 6 Toggle Switches, 4 Rotary Switches, and 8 Push buttons.
