SS3 Round 4 Race 2: Henebury rewards HRT with second win

Mark Henebury (#12 Heyneke Racing Team) won race two of the 2015.1 SA simSS3 Series round at Mugello.

A poor start off the lights for Henebury proved to be a blessing in disguise as he went on to avoid the opening corner chaos involving, with the exception of race leader Jason Absmeier (#90 Trigon Revlimit Racing), the rest of the field to emerge from Luco (turn two) in second position.

A thrilling battle was had between Jason Holden-Jones (#37 H-J Motorsport) and Peter van Vuuren (#15 Trigon Revlimit Racing) for fourth  position. Van Vuuren clearly had the pace advantage however Holden-Jones was defending well right until the three lap long battle ended on lap seven, this after Holden-Jones went wide at the long winding Correntaio corner.

A final twist to the race saw Absmeier retire after a spin into the wall at Arrabbiata 1 gifting Henebury the race lead.

Henebury drove a faultless race to claim his second win of the season ahead of podium position finishers Johannes Coetsee (#46 Shadow GhostworX) and Juan Liebenberg (#88 Phantom GhostworX).
